On Pentecost Sunday, May 15, FPCN welcomed six confirmation students into the membership of the church.

Pastor Anette preached a special sermon on the third-most important day on the church calendar (after Easter and Christmas). Pentecost is the celebration of the coming down of the Holy Spirit to the apostles and represents the birth of the Christian church. In her sermon, Pastor Anette noted that even though our congregation has members from at least 25 nations, we are all part of one body of Christ.

After our confirmation students publicly answered several questions about their faith, the congregation welcomed the students into the church. Elder Verene Samuels, chair of the Christian Education Committee, presented the students with Bibles and certificates.
