New Paraments and Choir Stoles Dedicated

Created: Sunday, November 27, 2016

On the first Sunday of Advent, we dedicated new paraments and choir stoles that will be used throughout the season. Many churches use purple paraments during Advent, but our church decided last year to use blue paraments and choir stoles during Advent to represent hope.

Paraments are the liturgical cloth hangings that decorate the table on the front of our sanctuary as well as the sanctuary pulpit and lectern. The paraments have gold crosses stitched into them.

Special thanks to Ann Redican and Ako Effiam, who made the paraments and stoles by hand.

Thanks be to God!
